Song: Lukka Chuppi
Movie: Rang De Basanti
Singers: Lata Mangeshkar & A.R.Rahman
Music Director: Who else can it be?
After a rather long break, I managed to record an unplugged instrumental version of this simple yet soulful composition. I was also inspired by http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MWB_v7f7ig.
I have also used strings and added a few different chords to create an interesting feel for the song. I am still looking at ways to improve the audio quality. As always, comments welcome :)

Unplugged - Maalai Neram
Song: Maalai Neram
Movie: Aayirathil Oruvan
Singers: Andrea (with GV once in a while in the background)
Music Director: GV
This ideally should not have been the first recording to post on this blog but this is the only song that I have converted to mp3 format and I am too lazy right now to work on the others. Its my unplugged version of Maalai Neram, I really like some of GV's songs. Please pardon my singing, I am really an amateur, probably one level below. Comments welcome :)
P.S: There is another version of the same song in which my sister sings instead. That sounds better, will upload that sometime.

The Beginning
I probably had one of the more unusual beginnings to learning keyboard. I will go into the details in a later post but this blog will hopefully help me to continue my learning which is mainly arising from playing in bands these days. I intend to express myself musically through this blog by posting anything from my favourite Ilayaraja tunes, stuff that I play and record on my keyboard to anything related to music.
By the way, there is another story behind the origins of the word tunetapper. Will probably post about that separately.
Enjoy the journey :)
P.S: As I am typing this, my room-mate is practicing Highway Star solo on my keyboard behind me.
